Fia Fiell
https://www.fiafiell.net

Fia Fiell is Melbourne synthesist Carolyn Schofield, whose intricate and improvisatory compositions for multiple keyboard synths derive from meditations on growth and transcendence. Silk-gentle and immensely powerful, her nebulous and dreamlike sonic worlds bathe audiences in lush melodic cycles and spectral drones. Time and rhythm become elastic – like an organic membrane breathing and pulsing. A prolific performer in Australia, she’s performed at festivals for Berlin Atonal and Room40, supported artists such as Merzbow and Laurel Halo, and released music on Longform Editions and Nice Music.

"X0R" by Ukrainian electronic composer Andrey Kiritchenko is a daring departure from conventional music norms. Kiritchenko's penchant for innovation shines through as he deftly avoids clichés and templates, crafting a tapestry of sound that blends IDM, breakbeat, ambient, and footwork elements. While initially appearing as a chaotic collision of sounds, "X0R" reveals a hidden order upon closer inspection, drawing listeners into its mesmerizing rhythms and textures. With its elusive nature, this album challenges interpretation, reflecting the complexities of our modern world drowned in information overload. Despite its avant-garde approach, the music in "Feral" remains accessible, offering a unique listening experience that resonates with our ever-changing realities.
