As part of our 10th Anniversary Celebration Series, we are chuffed to present the first edition of PURE LIVE x IKLECTIK FESTIVAL in Todmorden.

This festival of sonic arts is a collaboration between the Todmorden-based arts collective Pure Life Records and the London-based non-profit organisation IKLECTIK.

PLXI will take place across 4 venues in Todmorden over the weekend of 25th-27th October, with the main programme of live performances being held in the Unitarian Church.

IKLECTIK will be outfitting the church with its 12.4 ambisonic sound system, alongside a multi-projector visual setup.

We have over 20 international and UK artists providing live performances, visual arts, and running workshops over the weekend focusing on Spatial Sound and Ambisonic tools, live code programming, and visual synthesis.

FULL PROGRAMME

Friday 25th
6pm - 9pm @ Imaginary Wines
Opening of “Character Select” exhibition + meet the festival artists and organisers.
Imaginary Wines will host an exhibition of Pure Life retrospective art and media open throughout the weekend.

Saturday 26th
11am - 1pm @ Natural Endings
WORKSHOP on Video Synthesis
Berlin via Texas based visual artist Cinema AV (Evan Henry) will conduct a hands-on interactive workshop on Video Synthesis.

12pm - 1:30pm @ Unitarian Church
INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP on Spatial Sound and Ambisonic Tools.
Isa Ferri (IKLECTIK’s co-director and sound engineer) will delve into the world of spatial sound, introducing participants to Envelop for Live (E4L), a collection of free, open-source immersive audio production tools that work with Ableton Live Suite. Artist Kat Awramenko (aka Menko from Pure Live Records) will demonstrate a hands-on application of these spatial tools in his artistic practice.

Zaragoza based visual artist Mateo Vallejo will conduct a workshop on his approach to visual art through live-coding and programming.
